Is there minimally invasive surgery for perianal abscess?

At present, there is no minimally invasive surgery for perianal abscesses. In clinical practice, if a patient is diagnosed with a perianal abscess, once the diagnosis is clear, an incision and drainage procedure should be performed immediately. The surgical approach varies depending on the location of the patient’s perianal abscess. If the location of the perianal abscess is superficial, perianal abscess incision and drainage can be performed under local anesthesia, and the incision should be radiolucent with the anus without filling, and only the drainage should be kept open. If the patient’s perianal abscess is deep, it should be performed under lumbar or sacral anesthesia, and the patient should be punctured with a thick needle at the most obvious place of pressure pain, and after extracting the pus, a curved incision parallel to the anal verge should be made there, and the incision should be long enough to open the pus cavity and drain thoroughly. In the clinic, many doctors use incision and drainage combined with hanging threads, which allows the abscess to open up completely and drain more freely, and avoids the pain caused by secondary fistula surgery.
