Can spinal cord compression heal on its own?

Spinal cord compression is not a self-limiting disorder and therefore generally does not heal on its own.
Spinal cord compression is a group of spinal cord compression syndromes caused by occupying lesions in the vertebrae or the spinal canal, and the symptoms are closely related to the site of compression, the disease is a non-self-limiting disease. Common causes include tumor compression, non-specific inflammation of the spinal cord, spinal cord trauma, and degenerative spinal cord disease.
The diagnosis of spinal cord compression is usually confirmed by imaging. The nature and etiology of the compressive lesion varies from person to person, and the test needs to be individualized. In general, spinal cord compression will resolve when the cause is removed. After treatment, the spinal cord compression should be actively re-established in order to restore the function of the damaged area.
Spinal cord compression cannot be cured on its own, and patients are advised to seek prompt medical attention and active treatment under the guidance of a doctor.
