If the neck lipoma is small, no treatment is needed, observe whether there is any change in the size; if the lipoma is large, compressing the tissue and nerves or affecting the aesthetics, surgical resection is recommended.
1. If the patient’s neck lipoma is relatively small, mostly found unintentionally, the patient usually has no discomfort and does not need special treatment, pay attention to observing whether there is any change in the size, and you can regularly review ultrasound to observe the change in the size and texture of the lipoma.
2. If the patient’s neck lipoma is large, it may compress the tissues or nerves, cause local pain, numbness and other clinical symptoms, or affect the aesthetics. At this time, surgical resection is needed, and patients should be regularly reviewed after surgery to dynamically observe the changes of the condition.
Note: Except for surgery, all kinds of measures, including medication and physical therapy, cannot lead to the disappearance of lipoma.
