Can people with gout drink milk?

1, milk is a high quality protein without purines: first of all, milk has no cell structure and nucleus, no nucleic acid, so no purines. Secondly, milk is a high protein food. As you know, most nutrient-rich foods such as meat and fish are both high purine and high protein diets. Gout patients should be prohibited from eating a high purine diet, such as limiting high purine, which will inevitably limit high protein and lead to malnutrition. Gout patients in remission eat protein to be properly liberalized (mainly vegetable protein and milk). 2, milk is rich in trace elements, vitamins and calcium, contributing to good health and osteoporosis. 3, milk contains casein and whey protein, which can increase uric acid excretion and reduce blood uric acid. However, it is important to note that: patients with milk allergy and kidney disease are better off not drinking; drinking milk should not be excessive, usually about 500 ml per day; adults with diarrhea are advised to drink milk a few times – due to the lack of lactase in the intestines; milk is also good and bad, do not drink milk containing melamine and empty shell milk powder. Which dairy products are better for gout sufferers? Skim milk should be chosen over whole milk and yogurt. Why? There are two reasons: 1. Skim milk has less than 0.5% fat, which is 1/7 of regular milk (whole milk has 3% fat). Most gout patients are obese and have hyperlipidemia, so they should lose weight and eat less fat, because fat reduces uric acid excretion. 2, there is an institutional study in Singapore: certain skim milk (containing glycopeptides and G600) has an anti-inflammatory effect and reduces the recurrence of gout. Of course if you buy whole milk, it is relatively simple to convert it into skim milk by mixing the milk powder and putting it on the fire and boiling it, with a layer of grease on top, to remove it. Skim milk also has some disadvantages: the taste is not good, skim milk has no taste, the taste comes from fat; most vitamins such as vitamin A and vitamin D are fat-soluble, in addition to fat at the same time, fat-soluble vitamins are also removed, affecting the absorption of calcium. Sour milk is actually a good health drink, compared to regular milk, the advantages are: the fermentation process of lactic acid bacteria can produce B vitamins necessary for human nutrition; easier to digest and absorb, calcium and phosphorus absorption rate increased; adults do not cause bloating and diarrhea people, because lactose is fermented by lactobacillus into lactic acid. But gout is not suitable for drinking yogurt for the following two main reasons: 1, the fat content is relatively high, 3% to 5%, fatty acids can be increased by 2 times compared to raw milk; 2, more fermenting bacteria, single-celled organisms containing nucleic acid (containing purine) and protein, uric acid generation. Can I eat cheese? The nutritional value of cheese is higher, because each kilogram of cheese is made from 10 kg of milk concentrate, rich in protein, calcium, fat, phosphorus and vitamins, etc., but gout patients should eat less. 1, cheese is a fermented milk product, similar to sour milk, with higher concentration of lactic acid bacteria than yogurt, high purine content and more uric acid production. 2, high fat content, especially contains more trans fatty acids. Trans fatty acids have a long metabolism time in the body, taking several weeks (generally natural fat is 1 week), which makes people easily obese and increases the risk of cardiovascular disease, but trans fatty acids are not arsenic, they are only a nutrient that is “harmful if consumed in excess”. Can I eat ice cream? Gout patients should eat less ice cream. Ice cream is made from dairy products, egg products, sweeteners, flavoring agents, stabilizers and food coloring, and is processed by freezing, containing large amounts of sugar (lactose, fructose and sucrose) and fat, which increases body weight and affects uric acid excretion.
