Can I still take expired medications?

  Expired drugs need to be handled with care, otherwise they will harm people and themselves: An old aunt dressed in fashionable and elegant manner visited the clinic and needed to take statins because of atherosclerosis hyperlipidemia, she said I have statins at home, can I still take them when they have expired? A: Of course you can’t continue to take expired medications. Expired medications are not only less effective but may also produce toxic substances and must not be taken.  Do you keep some common medicines at home? Do you regularly check whether these medicines are expired? Do you know how to handle expired and spoiled medicines properly? Do you know what are the hazards if you mishandle or accidentally consume these expired medicines?
