Is it true that cancer cells are afraid of heat?

It is true that cancer cells are afraid of heat, and the current anti-tumor treatment method of tumor thermotherapy is based on this characteristic of cancer cells. Research shows that cancer cells are afraid of high temperature, when the temperature exceeds 43℃ and lasts for one hour, the cancer cells will be killed, therefore, clinically, tumor thermotherapy is based on this mechanism and adopts high temperature to kill the cancer cells, so as to achieve the purpose of anti-tumor treatment. Generally, the normal cells of human body are more tolerant to high temperature than the cancer cells, therefore, tumor thermotherapy has less damage to the normal cells of human body and causes less clinical side effects. Currently, tumor hyperthermia is mainly used as an auxiliary treatment for other major anti-tumor treatments such as surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
