What’s wrong with a sore throat that doesn’t hurt on one side?

Symptoms of pain on one side of the throat and no pain on the other side may be acute tonsillitis, acute pharyngitis, penile syndrome and so on. 1. Acute tonsillitis: it usually manifests as sore throat, difficulty in swallowing, fever and even headache, and there may be generalized fatigue, tiredness and loss of appetite. When the inflammation of one side of the tonsils is heavy, or causes peritonsillitis of one side of the tonsils, or peritonsillar abscess, there may be a sore throat on one side and no pain on the other. 2. Acute pharyngitis: obvious symptoms include sore throat, dry throat, foreign body sensation in the throat, or systemic symptoms (e.g. fever, fatigue, etc.). When the inflammation tends to one side of the pharynx or larynx, there will be a sore throat on one side and no pain on the other. 3. Stem Syndrome: This disease can cause foreign body sensation and pain in one side of the throat and neck, while the other side has no obvious sensory abnormality. In addition to the above factors, it cannot be ruled out that it is caused by other factors, such as ulcers in the throat and tonsils. It is recommended that the patient go to the hospital as soon as possible for examination, and the doctor will give targeted treatment after clarifying the cause of the disease.
