How can it cause facial paralysis?

There are many causes of facial palsy, including viruses, bacterial infections, trauma, tumors, neuropathy, and so on. The most common clinical cause of facial neuritis is viral infection. Facial neuritis usually develops easily during seasonal changes and sudden changes in heat and cold, and spring is a good season. In many people, the onset of the disease is often due to localized vasospasm of the nerve caused by cold stimulation of the face, resulting in ischemic edema of the nerve tissue. From the perspective of Chinese medicine, facial palsy is mostly caused by the deficiency of the body’s positive energy, the emptiness of the meridians, the invasion of wind and evil into the facial meridians, the blockage of the meridians, the poor flow of qi and blood, and the loss of nourishment of the meridians. Facial palsy can occur at any age, mostly in young and middle-aged people, but also in children and the elderly.
