If a patient becomes dizzy when getting up, the following points should be considered: First, it should be considered upright hypotension, which is a manifestation of abnormal blood pressure regulation, usually common in the elderly population, caused by dizziness when getting up due to impaired blood pressure regulation caused by decreased arterial elasticity and increased brittleness in the elderly, with symptoms such as dizziness, blackness, or even syncope when the patient gets up quickly. Secondly, dehydration caused by various factors may also cause the above symptoms, such as heat stroke in summer, or insufficient blood volume due to the increase in the number of vomiting caused by acute gastroenteritis. Third, the adverse reaction to certain drugs, such as the application of vasodilators, diuretics, antihypertensive drugs, antidepressants can also cause the above symptoms. Fourth, weakened endostatic regulation, such as long-term bed rest, chronic cardiac insufficiency will have this symptom.
