How to get rid of hydronephrosis

Firstly, if the hydronephrosis is caused by obstruction, the obstructing lesion should be treated, so that the hydronephrosis can be drained naturally after the obstruction is removed, which means that the hydronephrosis can be self-healed. For example, if the water in the kidney is caused by ureteral obstruction caused by stones, after the stones are removed by extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy or through surgical treatment, the ureter can be restored to its patency, and the water can be drained naturally to a healed state. If it is caused by other lesions such as tumor or stenosis, it needs to be drained after related surgery to remove the obstruction, and then the hydronephrosis can be restored to the normal state. Secondly, reflux nephrolithiasis requires indwelling catheter or suprapubic cystocentesis for continuous drainage to reduce the reflux factor, so that nephrolithiasis can be relieved by itself. Third, idiopathic hydronephrosis can be relieved by placing a ureteral stent tube in the body to drain the patient’s hydronephrosis.
