Does idiopathic tremor matter?

Idiopathic tremor is a benign condition that increases with age and usually has a family history in about 2/3 of patients. Idiopathic tremor is simply a tremor that does not affect the patient’s life expectancy. Patients only show involuntary shaking of the head or limbs, but it does not affect their daily life, and mild tremor does not require treatment. If the tremor affects the patient’s daily life, medication is needed. The first-line recommended medication is propranolol, which can reduce the amplitude of limb tremor by 50%, and apropranolol, which can reduce the amplitude of postural tremor and motor tremor. The prognosis for patients is relatively good and the severity is not associated with death, and patients may be affected by activity 10-20 years after the onset of the disease.
