The patient was married for many years, had normal sexual intercourse without contraception and was infertile, with menstruation of 40-60 days in a row, with a period of 4-5 days, low volume, light color and thin quality, and leucorrhea of clear and thin quantity. The tongue is fat, with teeth marks on the sides, and the pulse is thin and slow.
Ultrasound showed that the ovaries were cystically enlarged bilaterally, with multiple follicles of different sizes surrounding the ovarian margins and arranged in a wheel-like pattern, and the ovarian peritoneum was thickened and echogenic. Echo enhancement of the ovarian peritoneum.
The itchiness is caused by physical deficiency of the spleen and dampness. If the spleen is deficient, the patient is poorly nourished, fat, short of breath and weak. Low menstrual flow, light-colored and dilute, and leucorrhea with clear and dilute volume are caused by cold evil trapping the spleen. Scanty stools and a fat tongue with teeth marks on the sides are signs of spleen deficiency and dampness.

She reported that she had been using urotropic hormone for three months at an outside hospital and had ovulation monitored by ultrasound, but still had not conceived and had no history of pregnancy and childbirth, and came to the clinic before February 13, 2015, wanting to conceive normally through acupuncture treatment. At the time of consultation, the patient had a dull complexion, weakness of the waist and knees, dizziness and tinnitus, acceptable bowel movements, high volume of clear urine, a pale tongue with petechiae, and a sunken pulse.
