Arm and shoulder pain may be related to the following causes: 1. There may be overexertion. Many patients may suffer from excessive fatigue of the muscles and tendons of the upper extremities after lifting heavy objects or doing other strenuous activities involving the upper extremities, which may cause this symptom. 2. Frozen shoulder may be affected by frozen shoulder. When a patient has an attack of frozen shoulder, there may be pain in the shoulder joint and other parts of the upper extremity at the same time, and there may be obvious limitation of movement of the shoulder joint. 3. There may be peripheral nerve lesions, for example, when neurogenic cervical spondylosis attacks, it may cause a series of symptoms such as radiating pain, numbness and weakness in the shoulder joint and other parts of the upper extremity. 4. There may be trauma to the upper extremity. For example, when a patient suddenly falls to the ground and lands on the shoulder joint, it may cause damage to the soft tissues or bone of the upper limb, which may lead to pain in the above two areas.
