Can you run after tibial plateau collapse surgery?

It usually takes 6 months to run after tibial plateau collapse surgery.
The tibial plateau fracture needs to be fixed by incision and internal fixation surgery to reset the collapsed bone, implant the bone and fix it with plate screws. After the surgery, it needs to be fixed by cast or brace for 4~6 weeks to avoid flexing the knee joint, as premature flexing will cause the fracture site to collapse and shift.
After removing the cast, the knee can be flexed and extended, and can return to normal in 3 months after rehabilitation. You can engage in general activities, but not running.
If the fracture site heals well and there is no swelling and pain, you can run, but you should not exercise too much at the beginning and do it gradually.
Therefore, it takes at least 6 months after tibial plateau collapse surgery before you can run.
