What to do if your Down’s syndrome test is abnormal

If the Down’s syndrome screening is not normal, further tests can be done. Non-invasive DNA can be done. Non-invasive DNA can be 99% accurate. If the non-invasive DNA is successful, the pregnancy can continue. However, if the non-invasive DNA is still unsuccessful, further amniocentesis is required. Amniocentesis is the direct extraction of amniotic fluid to analyze whether the fetus has congenital genetic problems. If the amniocentesis does not pass, the baby cannot be born, and this is the final test.
