What are the common factors of deafness in our life

In our life, in addition to the well-known purulent otitis media that can cause deafness, there are some other factors as follows 1. Secretory otitis media: Since it does not flow thick, fever, or ear pain, it is one of the common causes of deafness in children because it is not seen until children’s academic performance declines and their personality changes, and they lose the opportunity for surgery and treatment. 2. Congenital deafness: It refers to the loss of hearing function after birth and being in a soundless world. In the first trimester of pregnancy, the mother’s hair cells of the fetus are developing. If the mother suffers from viral infections such as cold, rubella or sores during this period, the hair cells will develop and the fetus will lose its hearing function. 3.Infectious pathogenic deafness: epidemic meningitis, mumps, if not treated systematically after the onset of the disease, slowly progressive sensorineural deafness is left behind. 4. Ototoxic deafness (inner ear drug poisoning): Deafness caused by abuse of certain drugs or long-term exposure to certain chemicals. Common ototoxic drugs (1) Aminoglycoside antibiotics: gentamicin, streptomycin, kanamycin, neomycin, etc. (2) Hydroyanic acid painkillers: Methusone, Nimesulide tablets, etc. (3) Anti-malarials: quinine, chloroquine, etc. (4) diuretics: tachyphylaxis, diuretic acid, etc. (5) anti-cancer drugs: vincristine, 2-nitroimidazole, cisplatin, etc. Common ototoxic chemicals: aluminum, phosphorus, arsenic, benzene, CO, SO2, CC14, etc. 5. Idiopathic sudden deafness: severe hearing loss without obvious cause, produced within 1-2 days. 6, Autoimmune deafness: asymmetric progressive sensorineural deafness that occurs mostly bilaterally and simultaneously or sequentially in adolescents.
