What are the main causes of nasopharyngeal carcinoma?

  Nasopharyngeal cancer is a common malignant tumor in China, accounting for about 1.5-3.0% of all malignant tumors in the body, with the highest incidence in Guangdong, Guangxi and Hunan in the south. The ratio of men to women is 2:3. 30-50 years old is the age of prevalence. If early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment can be achieved, the treatment effect is more satisfactory. At present, it is believed that the factors of nasopharyngeal carcinoma are multifaceted, which are related to genetic, environmental pollution carcinogenic factors and B virus infection.  1.Viral factors: mainly EBV.  2.Hereditary factors: Nasopharyngeal cancer has certain racial tendency, such as occurring mostly in yellow people.  3.Multiple chemical substances: such as polycyclic hydrocarbons, nitrites and fungal toxins: as well as vitamin A deficiency, sex hormone imbalance and lack of personal immunity, all have a certain relationship with this disease.  4.Pathology: there are lymphoepithelial carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, lymphosarcoma, etc.; most of them are squamous cell carcinoma. The vast majority of nasopharyngeal carcinomas belong to low differentiated or undifferentiated carcinomas, with high malignancy and rapid development.
