Dangers of maxillary sinus cysts

Small maxillary sinus cysts are generally harmless and do not require special treatment; if the cyst increases and damages the surrounding structures, including the orbit, it may lead to local bone shrinkage and resorption, a series of clinical symptoms such as eye displacement, diplopia, eye pain, and even secondary infection and formation of maxillary sinus abscess, which will be significantly more harmful.
