Whether cluster headaches get better on their own needs to be analyzed from two perspectives.
(a) Taking the whole life course of a person as a reference, it is rare for older people over 60 years of age to have cluster headaches, so it can indirectly prove that cluster headache patients tend to have remission or even disappearance of headaches with age.
(b) Using each cluster headache to the next cluster episode as a reference, although there will be a period of asymptomatic remission without treatment, it is more unbearable when there are symptoms, so when a cluster headache occurs, treatment should still be a priority rather than waiting for self-healing.
