Do you need surgery for maxillary sinusitis?

Acute maxillary sinusitis without serious complications is usually not treated surgically. Chronic maxillary sinusitis with anatomical changes or conservative treatment for 3 months without significant improvement or odontogenic maxillary sinusitis requires surgical treatment. For example, nasal surgery is feasible in patients with severe deviated septum, nasal polyps, nasal tumours, etc.
