Patients with reflux oesophagitis are prone to reflux symptoms such as acid reflux, regurgitation and belching after a full meal, thus frequent belching may be associated with this condition; however, other digestive disorders such as chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer and functional dyspepsia can also cause belching symptoms, sometimes as a result of gagging disorders and inappropriate dietary practices. Prompt consultation with a regular hospital is recommended to identify the cause.
