Currently, aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage is the most common cause of cerebral vasospasm. Other causes include cerebral arteriovenous malformations, tumour haemorrhage and craniocerebral injury subarachnoid haemorrhage. In addition, cerebral vasospasm can occur when endovascular treatment is performed for cerebral vascular stenosis.
