What are the characteristics of a salivary cyst lump?

Salivary gland cysts are benign tumor-like lesions of salivary glands. The borders of the masses are clear, generally round, soft to the touch, with no adhesions to the surrounding tissues, and can be gently pushed. The cyst is located in the submucosa and has a film on the surface, because there is saliva or pus formed after infection inside the lump, the fluctuating sensation inside the cyst can be felt by fingers.
