Nasal congestion in children mainly manifests as unilateral, bilateral or alternating nasal ventilation dysfunction, which can be intermittent, persistent or progressive episodes.
Nasal congestion in children may be accompanied by runny nose, snoring during sleep, open-mouth breathing, etc. In small infants, it may be accompanied by refusal to eat, misaspiration or interruption of food intake.
