Patients are left with varying degrees of neurological impairment and these sequelae are mainly cognitive dysfunction and motor impairment.

Movement disorders include Parkinson’s syndrome, which manifests as mask face, tremor, cogwheel-like muscle tonus, and other forms of movement disorders: oropalatine dystonia, coracoacromial dystonia, choreoathetosis, etc.
