Common clinical manifestations of oral cancer include nodules and lumps in the mouth, ulceration of the mucosa, the presence of visible ulcers and inflammation that do not heal for a long time, pain, numbness, and difficulty in speaking and swallowing. Some patients may experience metastatic symptoms in lymph nodes and distant organs in the area of drainage such as the submandibular and neck.
