What are the symptoms of middle ear cholesteatoma?

Patients with middle ear cholesteatoma may exhibit chronic pus flow in the ear, with varying amounts of pus, or no pus flow in primary middle ear cholesteatoma. Hearing loss, or just hearing loss, may also occur. Tinnitus may be present, but usually does not occur in the early stages of the disease, and tinnitus will not occur until the disease has progressed to a later stage.
