The causes of endometrial thinning include systemic and local factors, while systemic factors are caused by endocrine disorders, such as low oestrogen levels.
Local factors are related to damage to the endometrium, such as multiple abortions. Malformations of the uterus can also be a cause of endometrial thinning.
