It is most often considered to be birth-related separation of the pubic bone. Pubic symphysis separation is a common complication of childbirth and usually occurs in patients who have a difficult or emergency delivery. After delivery, the patient may have pubic pain due to a rupture of the pubic symphysis. In addition, the patient’s pelvis is unable to bear weight due to impaired pelvic stability, which can cause weakness in walking.
