Sudden sneezing and runny nose is most likely allergic rhinitis, the main symptoms of which are paroxysmal sneezing, runny nose, nasal itching and nasal congestion. Dust mites, pollen, house dust, fungi, animal dander and other allergens may trigger it. When the first contact with allergens causes sensitization, subsequent re-exposure will lead to the onset of the disease. The main focus for allergic rhinitis is prevention and the use of medications to relieve symptoms.
