Drug therapy is symptomatic and is usually used to control seizures caused by cerebral arteriovenous malformations. Surgical treatment includes interventional embolization, craniotomy, and combination surgery (embolization + craniotomy). In addition, radiation therapy using Gamma Knife is available for some of the cerebral arteriovenous malformations.
