No sexual intercourse 72 hours prior to colposcopy; no vaginal douching or medication 48 hours prior to examination.
There are no special precautions to take during colposcopy, just relax and cooperate with the doctor during the procedure.
Take care to keep the vulva clean after colposcopy; no sex or bathing for 2 weeks after the examination.
