If the face appears pinpoint-sized papules on the basis of large erythema, densely packed into patches, accompanied by obvious symptoms of itching and dry skin, the possibility of allergic dermatitis needs to be considered, and the patient may have scratch marks on the skin surface and signs of skin breakdown, such as inflammatory skin exudation and desquamation.
