The commonly used clinical drug for roundworm treatment is albendazole, commonly known as intestinal wormer, which is recommended to be taken on an empty stomach, and generally a single dose is sufficient to achieve a good worm-killing effect. There are more clinical drugs for roundworm treatment, but albendazole is generally the recommended first choice for broad-spectrum anthelmintic drugs. Albendazole is an antinematode drug that is effective not only against roundworms, but also against tapeworms, filarial worms, pinworms, etc. Generally adults are recommended to take one oral dose to achieve a good worm-killing effect, and most patients do not need a second oral dose because the drug has relatively large side effects. In special cases, a single dose is not cleared, and three consecutive days may be recommended. Before taking worming medication, it must be clear whether the patient is really suffering from parasites, which should be evaluated on top of the doctor’s examination and laboratory tests, combined with the patient’s clinical symptoms, preferably with the detection of worm eggs in the stool, so as not to use anti-parasitic drugs indiscriminately due to blind suspicion.
