Fungal infections of the lungs depend on the type of fungus that infects it, the presence of underlying disease or complications, etc. and usually take 3-6 months or longer. For cryptococcal pneumonia, treatment takes at least six months. For Aspergillus pneumonia, the treatment time is at least 16 weeks; for Candida infection of the lungs, it may take 8-12 weeks, or 2-3 months, or even longer. For pulmonary cryptococcus with concomitant cryptococcal meningitis, the treatment time will need to be extended to more than one year. There are some patients with chronic diseases who use glucocorticoids for a long period of time, such as systemic lupus erythematosus and nephrotic syndrome, where the infection is not easy to be controlled, and the time will be prolonged accordingly. Fungal infection of the lungs, is a more difficult clinical disease, it is recommended to actively treat without delay.
