Fungal infections of the ear canal can cause fungal disease of the external auditory canal. Topical antifungal medications or solutions are applied to treat the disease.
Fungi tend to grow and multiply in warm and humid environments. When water or secretions accumulate in the external auditory canal and when antibiotic drops are used for a long period of time, fungal infections of the external auditory canal can occur. Yellowish-black or white fungi can be seen in the external auditory canal and tympanic membrane, and scabs appear.
After removing the scabs, muscimol ethanol solution or salicylic acid ethanol solution can be used to apply; also can be sprayed in the external auditory canal mycotoxin or imidazole broad-spectrum antifungal drugs such as miconazole; or choose to clean the scabs to do a fungal culture, and then choose sensitive antifungal drug treatment.
When there is a fungal infection in the external ear canal, it can cause itchy ears, and it is recommended to consult a doctor in time, and follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the treatment in order to control the symptoms.
