Condyloma acuminatum is a common sexually transmitted disease caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, which manifests as papules, keratotic plaques, papillae or cauliflower-like growths around the genitals and is highly contagious. Human papillomavirus infection is necessary for the disease to develop, and there is an average incubation period of about three months.
Glans eczema is a type of eczema that occurs in the glans area. It is mainly caused by allergens, abnormal immune function and changes in environmental and climatic conditions. It can manifest as red papules and blisters on the skin of the glans with itching, etc. It is not contagious and has no incubation period. Condyloma acuminatum can cause cancer and glans eczema can be a co-infection.
The two can be identified by HPV testing.
