Ibuprofen suspension belongs to the aryl propionic acid class of NSAIDs and is a commonly used antipyretic and analgesic drug, usually applied when children have a fever of more than 38.5℃. If improperly taken, it may easily lead to nausea, vomiting, drowsiness and other side effects, so it needs to be used under the guidance of a doctor. Main effects Ibuprofen suspension is mainly used to relieve fever, headache, joint pain, migraine, toothache and muscle pain caused by common cold or flu. Generally, the body temperature can be lowered 30 minutes to 1 hour after taking, and the duration of drug effect is 6-8 hours on average. Adverse reactions 1. Ibuprofen suspension is irritating to the stomach and intestines, and a few patients may experience nausea, vomiting, heartburn, mild indigestion, gastric ulcer, dizziness, blurred vision, nervousness, drowsiness, lower limb edema, etc.; 2. Everyone reacts differently to antipyretic drugs, and children may experience constipation or thin stools after taking it, and may also experience a decrease in white blood cells. Precautions 1. Ibuprofen suspension has no therapeutic effect on the disease causing fever, but can only symptomatically lower the temperature, so pay attention to the timely diagnosis of the original disease while taking the medicine; 2. It should not be used in large quantities or for a long time, and should not be used to reduce fever for more than 3 days and to relieve pain for more than 5 days. 3. No other antipyretic and analgesic drugs should be taken while taking ibuprofen suspension.
