Pediatrics in TCM was formed with the development of Chinese medicine, and has gradually formed a unique theoretical and practical system by gathering the rich experience of the Chinese nation in pediatric nurturing and disease prevention for thousands of years. To date, TCM has shown its characteristic advantages in the treatment of common pediatric diseases such as pneumonia, cough, asthma, diarrhea, anorexia, noma, epilepsy, and fetal yellowness, and especially for difficult diseases such as hyperactivity, ADHD, autism, and epilepsy, TCM has highlighted its simplicity and effectiveness. In addition to oral Chinese medicine, various external treatments such as massage, acupuncture, fumigation and cupping have also been widely used in clinical practice, which have played an active role in enhancing physical fitness and reducing morbidity.
