The common cold usually does not require antiviral treatment if symptoms are mild. Influenza usually requires early use of antiviral drugs. There is no exact three kinds of antiviral drugs for cold and flu, and the commonly used ones are Oseltamivir, Zanamivir, Paramivir and so on.
1. Oseltamivir: a selective and specific inhibitor of influenza virus neuraminidase, inhibits the release of mature influenza virus from host cells by inhibiting the neuraminidase enzyme, thus inhibiting the spread of influenza virus in humans. It is used for the treatment of influenza A and B in adults and children 1 year of age and older. There are some side effects such as nausea, vomiting, dizziness, headache and hallucinations.
2. Zanamivir: By inhibiting the neuraminidase enzyme of influenza viruses, thus altering the release of influenza viruses in host cells, it is indicated for influenza caused by influenza A or B viruses in adult patients and adolescent patients aged 12 years and above. Adverse reactions include headache, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting.
3. Paramivir: It is a selective neuraminidase inhibitor with the same antiviral mechanism as oseltamivir, and is mainly used for the treatment of influenza A or B. It can be used for the treatment of influenza A or B. Adverse reactions include shock, leukopenia, pneumonia, allergy and so on.
Cold and flu antiviral drugs also include amantadine and other drugs, but due to its high drug resistance, adverse reactions and other factors, it is now rarely used. Because of the high side effects of antiviral drugs, if you take these drugs for colds, you need to apply them reasonably under the guidance of your physician.
