Necrotizing cervical lymphadenitis can be treated in different ways according to different situations, and the treatments include medication, physiotherapy, surgery and so on. 1. Drug treatment: if it is caused by bacterial infection, antibiotic treatment should be given, including cephalosporins such as cefuroxime, penicillins such as penicillin, etc. If it is considered to be caused by viral infection, antiviral drugs such as ribavirin should be given. When applying antibiotic treatment, glucocorticoids such as prednisolone, methylprednisolone and other drugs can be used in combination. The drugs should be applied under the guidance of the doctor. 2. Physical therapy: during drug treatment, local physical therapy can be used to relieve symptoms. 3. Surgery: If localized ulceration or exudation occurs, surgical debridement and medication exchange are required. Necrotizing cervical lymphadenitis is often accompanied by severe pain of infection as well as fever, which may cause aggravation of the infection and make the patient suffer from severe infection if not treated actively. Therefore, it is recommended that patients be treated actively and medications should be applied under medical supervision.
