Difference between stridor and rales

The difference between wheezing and croup is mainly seen in terms of nature, characteristics, and diseases caused. 1. In terms of nature: stridor is a continuous and persistent additional sound produced by the respiratory tract, while croup is a high-pitched grinding or groaning sound. 2. In terms of characteristics: wheezing is an additional sound in addition to the breath sounds of the lungs, while croup is a dry rumbling sound that occurs when there is less secretion in the airway, but there is a narrowing of the airway. 3. In terms of the different diseases that cause them, croup is more common in bronchial asthma and wheezing is more common in airway trauma. If the patient notices lung discomfort, he should consult a doctor in time and use medication under the doctor’s guidance.
