Uterine fibroids and uterine sarcomas can be judged by the prevalent age group, growth rate, and ultrasound and pathological examination. Uterine fibroid grows slowly and has a clear boundary with the surrounding tissues. Doppler ultrasonography of uterine sarcoma shows echogenic changes in the myometrium, with a mass of material invading into the uterine wall, which does not have a clear boundary with the surrounding tissues, and the pathology shows that there are more nuclear schizophrenic elephants than normal cells.
1. Prevalent age group: uterine fibroids are more common in women aged 30~50 years old, and uterine sarcoma is more common in women aged 40~60 years old.
2. Growth rate: uterine fibroids are benign tumors with slow growth, while uterine sarcomas are malignant tumors with faster growth rate.
3. Ultrasonography: Doppler ultrasonography of uterine sarcoma shows irregular uterine morphology, echogenic changes in the myometrium, and invasion of the uterine wall by masses of material.
4. Pathological examination: uterine fibroids are mostly myoblasts of uniform size, arranged in a whirlpool shape, with unequal amounts of fibroblasts; uterine sarcomas are mostly heterogeneous cells with a large amount of necrosis, with no obvious boundary with the surrounding tissues, and at the same time, the nuclear schizophrenia is more than that of normal cells.
The clinical symptoms of uterine fibroids and uterine sarcoma are mostly similar, and when you feel unwell, you should consult a doctor in time, meanwhile, you should have a regular physical examination in your daily life.
