“Use your ears safely and protect your hearing”

Do you know your ears? 1. The ear is an important organ of every human body, so it is necessary for everyone to understand their ears and protect them. 2. The structure of the ear is divided into three parts: the outer ear, the middle ear, and the inner ear. 3. The outer ear receives sound from the outside world and will cause the eardrum to vibrate along the ear canal. 4. The vibration of the middle ear tympanic membrane causes three small bones – the conus, stapes and drusen – to vibrate up and down, sending sound to the inner ear. 5. The inner ear generates nerve impulses, which are converted into neural energy along the auditory nerve, and from there sound information is transmitted to the brain. Good hearing comes from safe ear use: First of all, it is important to be aware of the prevention of noise deafness. Noise damage to hearing can be divided into two types of acute sound damage and chronic sound damage, the former is mainly due to the hearing damage caused by transient exposure to high-intensity impulse noise, mostly seen after a burst, also called burst deafness. Acute sound damage can be treated in accordance with sudden deafness, while chronic sound damage is due to long-term persistent strong noise stimulation caused by auditory damage, difficult to cure, only by prevention. Therefore, it is important to establish awareness of the damage that noise can cause to hearing. Second, pay attention not to stay in the noisy entertainment environment for a long time. You can reduce the intensity of music and microphone when you go to KTV, and control the volume and time when listening to music with headphones. If you live in a noisier environment, you can properly install some soundproof materials at home to reduce noise pollution. Again, improve their own quality, do not let themselves become the source of noise, affecting the people around them, such as playing music in public places. For friends who are in a noisy environment for a long time because of their work, it is recommended to do a hearing check once every 3-6 months to detect hearing damage early and deal with it properly. Finally, medical diseases that can easily lead to sudden deafness such as diabetes and bad habits such as smoking and alcohol should be actively treated. Patients with tinnitus, hearing loss or vertigo should immediately go to a specialist hospital for examination to achieve early diagnosis and early treatment.
