Do I need a hearing aid if I am deaf in one ear?

Most people think that hearing aids help people who are deaf to hear and speak, and since I have one ear that is fine and can hear others, there is no need for hearing aids. Is this really the case? Authoritative research from abroad shows that it is not. Professor Silverman Carol has been conducting systematic research on hearing deprivation and auditory remodeling in adults with asymmetric sensorineural deafness since 1990, and her research over the years has strongly confirmed that: 1. In asymmetric deafness, hearing deprivation can occur if there is no intervention in the worse ear. 2. When hearing loss occurs, the early selection of hearing aids can effectively avoid the occurrence of hearing deprivation, i.e. hearing aids as amplification devices play a vital role in hearing remodeling.
