Regular oral medication or fluids are usually sufficient for the duration of the illness, but hospitalisation may be considered in cases of severe dizziness, nausea and other discomfort, or if the patient’s underlying illness is poorly controlled, so that the doctor can monitor the condition in a timely manner.
