In order to solve the high rate of cesarean delivery and improve the natural delivery rate of our hospital, our department has introduced the “Guided Delivery Accompaniment Service” as a diversified service in Heilongjiang Province. As we all know, the Year of the Dragon is the peak year of childbirth in China, and after the Year of the Dragon, the number of deliveries in all hospitals dropped significantly, but the number of deliveries in our department did not drop due to the arrival of the Year of the Snake, but increased by 7%. Many mothers-to-be inquire many times at the beginning of their pregnancy, hoping to find a hospital that satisfies them after the October pregnancy, and more and more mothers-to-be believe that a hospital that supports normal delivery is the one they trust, and our hospital’s obstetrics team carefully provides the services needed by mothers-to-be. Pregnant women have a psychological fear of natural childbirth, worrying about its unpredictability, on the one hand, and a fear of pain, on the other, which is the main reason for the social factor cesarean delivery. For this reason, our hospital is the first in the province to implement “one-to-one guided delivery”. In the waiting room of HMSU, it is no longer a scene of pregnant women screaming and suffering, but a warm scene of doctors, midwives and music guides helping pregnant mothers together. On the one hand, the guide is doing psychological care and physiological care, and on the other hand, the guide analgesic device is used to reduce pain and equipment such as guide ball, guide stool and guide car to help mothers in free position to shorten the labor and speed up the delivery time; and more communication and guidance with the accompanying family members can effectively make up for the disadvantages of the family members not understanding and being nervous about the labor process. In order to ensure the professionalism, most of the guides are selected from the excellent midwives, who are qualified after the guide training course, and accompany the natural childbirth “one-to-one” during the whole labor. They help explain the process of natural childbirth, feed, comb the hair, and massage; provide effective methods and suggestions to make the mother take different positions during different stages of labor, or walk with her, or sit on the massage ball to move up and down, or push the trolley to move around, or add abdominal pressure on the guide stool; carefully and We will help the mother with touch and massage to relieve the tension and pain of labor; we will give active help as the labor progresses, especially when the second stage of labor is approaching, we will encourage and comfort the mother with confidence and give full play to her ability to complete the labor process. In order to make the mothers-to-be accept the guide smoothly, our obstetrics department has done a lot of work in the pregnancy school classroom, such as having the guide perform the scenario skit – simulated scenario of normal labor, and bringing the guide facilities such as the guide ball and guide stool to the pregnancy school classroom, so that the mothers-to-be can fully experience them. Pregnant women asked, “Can I get two music guides when I go into labor?” The “one-to-one guided birth” is gradually gaining recognition.
