Why you can’t get a stent for smoker’s disease

With the outbreak of various difficult diseases, people are becoming more and more concerned about their health. When there is a slight discomfort in the body, people should also go to the hospital for early examination so that the disease will not aggravate and deepen without their knowledge. Smoke disease is a major threat to human health. Smoke disease is a cerebrovascular disease, which is a kind of cerebrovascular malformation, once the patient’s brain ischemia is serious, it will cause more damage. Smoke disease is a progressive disease that can develop and worsen unknowingly, and the earlier it is treated, the less damage it will cause. In the treatment of smog, some primary care hospitals use conservative medication, but medication is not very meaningful, so some patients may wonder if smog can be stented. Why can’t stenting be done for smog? Generally speaking, stent surgery is mostly used for atherosclerotic stenosis or occlusion of blood vessels and luminal channels, and the stent dilates to open up the originally narrowed blood vessels, but smog is not caused by atherosclerosis, it is a spontaneous stenosis, there is no plaque, and there is no space for squeezing and expansion. If stents are placed in more than one narrowed vessel, the other parts will continue to progress and continue to narrow until occlusion: therefore, stenting is not recommended for patients with smog.
