Peach fungus is the common name of pityriasis simplex, the substance is not ringworm (fungal infection), but a chronic superficial skin disease of unknown etiology that occurs in preschool children and requires no special treatment. Pityriasis simplex, commonly known as ringworm, spring ringworm, occurs in spring and autumn, mostly in children and adolescents, mostly on the face, slightly dry surface, oval or round coin-sized light red patches, may have a slight itching sensation, mostly without conscious symptoms. It may be related to the gradual increase of ultraviolet rays in spring, and more dust and pollen in the air, which act on the skin surface and cause a slight inflammatory reaction. A small number of people believe that it is related to parasites or malnutrition and vitamin deficiency caused by an unbalanced diet; there is not enough evidence-based evidence to prove the argument. At present, medically, the disease does not require special treatment. It can be treated by enhancing local skin moisturization and applying topical vitamin E ointment or silicone oil or compound silicone cream twice a day. Increase the intake of fresh fruits and vegetables as appropriate to ensure vitamins A and B. Eat less irritating foods and avoid stimulation from harsh weather such as ultraviolet light and sand. Peach fungus occurs in children and should be distinguished from pediatric vitiligo, which is mostly grayish white with a little scaling on the surface, while vitiligo is very white in color and chalky white with no scaling on the surface.
