How to reduce fever in infants

  Infant fever is a common pediatric disease, if the fever temperature does not exceed 38 ℃, generally preferred physical methods of cooling. Infant fever commonly used physical cooling methods are as follows: 1, drink more water: when the child has a fever, let it drink warm boiled water a few times, not only to replenish the liquid, but also to speed up sweating, urination, to promote the body’s toxins and metabolic waste discharge.  2.Warm and wet towel: wring the towel soaked in warm water into half dry and put it on the forehead or armpit, groin and other large blood vessel parts of the child to achieve the purpose of cooling.  3, warm water bath: that is, with a towel dipped in warm water wipe the whole body, the temperature of the water is 32 ℃ -34 ℃, each wipe time 10-20 minutes, focusing on wipe the axilla, elbow, groin and other places.  4, loose was heat dissipation: fever, infants should not be wrapped in thick, avoid wearing too thick clothes, high fever should be loosely wrapped, untie the collar button and trouser belt to facilitate heat dissipation.  If the fever reaches 38.5℃, infants should seek medical attention and apply ibuprofen drops (under 2.5 years old), ibuprofen suspension and other drugs to reduce fever under the guidance of a doctor. While reducing the fever, it is recommended to pay close attention to the changes in body temperature and signs, ensure the stability of the humidity and temperature of the environment, including keeping the room temperature at 22℃-26℃ and opening the windows regularly to keep the air fresh. If the fever does not subside after the above treatment, it is recommended to go to the hospital to identify the foci of infection, clarify the pathogen, and then give further anti-infection treatment according to the pathogen.
